Christian Science came into our home more than forty years ago when our little girl was cured of a serious illness which could not be diagnosed or cured by the doctor attending her. The child suffered frequent and violent convulsions, but all his efforts to cure them ended in failure. He finally gave up all treatments, saving he could do no more for her. As a last resent we turned to Christian Science.

The healing was quick. Within a few hours after treatment was begun, the child was at ease, and the difficulty never recurred. The power of God made evident through true prayer as taught in Christian Science, was so convincing that my wife began to study Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy and to depend upon the truth at all times for healing and protection in rearing our four children.

The children contracted many of the so-called children's diseases, but all of them quickly yielded to the prayers of consecrated practitioners, sometimes the practitioner in question being hundreds of miles away. Again and again it was proved that neither time nor distance is an impediment to the healing Truth. As we read (Science and Health, p. 559), "The 'still, small voice' of scientific thought reaches over continent and ocean to the globe's remotest bound."
