For a long time I have wanted to express my deep gratitude to Christian Science, but I have not known how best to make a choice for this purpose because of the many blessings for which I am indebted to it.

When I found this Science, after searching for many long years, I did not study it with the idea of receiving a healing, although I already had one foot in the grave. I even said to the person who was taking care of me at that time that I did not want to be healed. A hard trial which I had just gone through, together with the many severe struggles which had continued without letup since my childhood, had plunged me into a distress so deep that my only desire was to leave this world.

As a result of the serious financial depression of thirty years ago, I lost all that I had except a few small crumbs, and these were not enough to live on. But the loss of material goods often leads us to great spiritual blessings, and in my case this was so.
