Sometime ago I read a statement in one of the Christian Science periodicals to the effect that a grateful heart cannot keep silent. It is with much heartfelt gratitude that I tell of one of the many experiences I have had as a student of Christian Science.
A few years ago when I was living on ranch several miles from a city I became seriously ill. I was unable to do anything at all and had a very high fever. My husband, although not a student of Christian Science, was very eager to whatever way I wished. I asked him to place a longdistance call to a practitioner in the city. This he did, explaining my need.
The practitioner said she was leaving on a short trip and would not be able to contact us for a while but that she would help me unless we preferred to call another practitioner. I chose to rely on her help, knowing that there can be no separation in God and that distance is no factor in the inclusiveness of God's love for man.
