On page 19 of her Message to The Mother Church for 1902, Mrs. Eddy writes, "The Christian Scientist cherishes no resentment; he knows that that would harm him more than all the malice of his foes."
While checking a construction job one day in the normal course of my work as a builder, I stepped on a nail protruding from a board. The nail went through my shoe and quite deeply into the ball of my foot. Other men on the job immediately expressed concern for my well-being and suggested I go for an injection. I assured them that I was all right and would take care of the matter. I immediately began silently voicing the truths of my real self and of my relation to God.
On the third day after studying the Bible Lesson, given in the Quarterly, I felt so full of love, and my thought was so uplifted, that I myself was unaware of a limp or of any physical problem.
