WORDS OF CURRENT INTEREST
[The words in this issue are related to the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly designated to be read in Christian Science churches on July 26, 1964.]
HE WILL SPEAK PEACE UNTO HIS PEOPLE, AND TO HIS SAINTS: BUT LET THEM NOT TURN AGAIN TO FOLLY (Ps. 85:8)
Basing their translation upon the evidence of the ancient Greek version, rather than upon the Hebrew text, those who prepared the Revised Standard Version render the second main clause, "to those who turn to him in their hearts." Moffatt appears to accept a similar emendation, rendering the verse as follows: "Let me listen to God speaking, speaking surely of prosperity to his people, to devout men, whose hearts turn to himself."
BALAK THE SON OF ZIPPOR (Num. 22:2)
