PERFECTION
Perfection is no abstract state
Nor wistful hovering of vague desire
For a mutation somewhat higher
To make us somehow better than we are—
Perhaps to give us kinship to a star.
Perfection is no fabled goal,
No dream that beckons only to recede
Beyond the reach of man's entire need
To recognize the great Unseen as Love intact,
To know perfection as the flawless fact.
Perfection means God's presence now
And here. Being is not distant. One
Signifies the Father and the son.
Reality is consciousness aware
Of infinite perfection everywhere.
