The Biblical promise (Hebr. 13:5)...
The Biblical promise (Hebr. 13: 5), "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee," has been amply fulfilled in my life.
My mother, suffering from tubercular glands, was given up by the doctors who had, as a last resort, lanced the condition without effecting a cure. The last doctor who attended her recommended Christian Science. A short time after she had asked for the help of a practitioner, the condition was relieved during the night without her knowing it until the next morning. The healing process continued until it was complete. Her gratitude knew no bounds. I was enrolled in a Christian Science Sunday School, and attendance there proved a joyous experience for one who seemed to have a morose nature.
When I was a young man the same condition my mother was healed of presented itself in my experience. Through the help of a practitioner this condition, which was manifested in an unsightly swelling of the throat, cleared up leaving no aftereffect.
