Over thirty years ago I found the way to Christian Science. As Mrs. Eddy says on pages 180 and 181 of the textbook, Science and Health, "To reduce inflammation, dissolve a tumor, or cure organic disease, I have found divine Truth more potent than all lower remedies."

For many years I suffered from an infection of the abdominal cavity. I consulted a number of doctors and, after an operation, was in a hospital for months. There was no discernible improvement; so against the advice of the doctors I left the hospital, for I preferred to die at home. While I was confined to this painful sickbed, I read a great deal in the Bible. I had always believed there must be a church where one could find healing.

Then it came about one day that my family moved to a large city. Here a relative told me about Christian Science healings. At once I decided to make the effort to attend the services, and, at the Wednesday testimony meeting I attended, I was greatly moved by the interpretations of the Bible given in the readings from the textbook.
