Nancy Sees for Herself
[Of Special Interest to Children]
Four-Year-Old Nancy loved to help her mother and father with all kinds of tasks around the house. One Saturday morning she was helping her mother to fry pancakes, and in an over-enthusiastic moment she burned her hand quite badly. Her mother, a student of Christian Science, stopped everything and went into the living room to talk with her of God.
On several other occasions, they had said "the scientific statement of being," found on page 468 of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and it had been a great comfort. So Mother began saying it to her now.
As she finished it, she realized Nancy was crying so hard that she could not possibly hear the words. Mother told her she would have to say it along with her. "No," sobbed Nancy, "you say it."
