I was a stanch member of an orthodox church when I married a Christian Scientist. Occasionally in our discussions I realized that Science had the answers to many of my questions, answers that I could not find through my understanding of an orthodox religion.
However, when I became ill with jaundice, I sought medical help. I had not yet learned to rely on Christian Science for healing. During this time I started to read the Bible, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and also "The Life of Mary Baker Eddy" by Sibyl Wilbur.
Later I realized that I wanted to be healed through Science; and I released the doctor, who was reluctant to let me go, claiming that I was not healed. A practitioner was then called, and I began the study of Science with his help. The healing of the physical condition was complete within a short time. Since this was my first healing in Science, I was grateful not only for the physical freedom but also for my introduction to this Science of Christianity.
