It has been my privilege to be...
It has been my privilege to be reared in a home where only Christian Science was relied on for the healing of all sickness and for the solution of any other problem.
It was not, however, until I married that I realized what a significant part Christian Science played in my life. As a new bride, the transition from a sheltered home to a large city more than two thousand miles away was at times bewildering. When I stood alone in our new apartment wondering where to begin, my first thought was, I know, an angel message from God.
It was Sunday, and the thought came, "Find your books and mark the Lesson-Sermon for next week from the Christian Science Quarterly." So it was that the marking of the Bible and my copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy was my first act in setting my house in order. Each morning my husband and I read together the current lesson and began finding our way together in Science. Thus we built the foundation we were shortly to need to withstand the trials forthcoming.
