Years ago, before I knew much of Christian Science, I was away from home in a large city. One night about an hour after I retired I awoke feeling ill. Within moments I was delirious, and I quickly became unconscious. The next thing I knew was awaking at seven o'clock in the morning well.

I was told afterward that my landlady had heard me and had come to me. Knowing that in previous times of need I had asked for Christian Science treatment, she called her mother, a practitioner, who came at once. The practitioner sat by me in deep prayer, and in fifteen minutes I was quietly asleep. I arose next morning completely healed.

Even then I did not really depend on Science for many years until I had a severe illness which left a bad head condition. After several doctors had told me that medical means could do no more for me, in desperation I turned completely to the help of a practitioner. I received relief at once.
