WORDS OF CURRENT INTEREST

[The words in this issue are related to the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly designated to be read in Christian Science churches on February 16, 1964.]

The angel of the lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them (Ps. 34:7)

It may be borne in mind that while "fear" is a literal rendering of the Hebrew word, it is one which the Jews often used with special reference to the relation of man to God to suggest reverence, veneration, or awe, but not fear in the sense of terror. Hence the translation, "The angel of the Lord surrounds those who revere him, and brings them deliverance."

O taste and see that the lord is good (Ps. 34:8)
