Christian Science came into...
Christian Science came into my experience many years ago, not because of a need on my part for physical healing but as a result of my search for a truly satisfying religion. The reaching out for Truth brought about my attendance at a Christian Science lecture. Even before the conclusion of the one-hour lecture, I was convinced that Christian Science was the religion, or the way of Life, which I had been seeking.
Very soon after I commenced the study of Science a distressing cold made itself felt. Through the help given me by a practitioner the cold completely disappeared within twenty-four hours. The tendency to take cold frequently, which had been part of my human experience for many years, was healed at that time.
A few years ago I awoke one morning suffering from partial paralysis of the face. I turned at once to my Father-Mother God in prayer and to the textbook by our beloved Leader. The services of a practitioner were asked for, and her reassuring response helped to allay the fear. I worked to see more clearly God's allness and power and man's relation to Him as image and idea.
