Working for the Disappearance of Death
Life is God, eternal Spirit. This Life is the only Soul of man. To think of one's soul as conscious of matter and enjoying material ease is sin. It results in the loss of what one believes his soul to be. In other words, sin results in death.
Among the parables with which Christ Jesus taught is the one of the man whose only concern was the accumulation of material wealth. And the man said to himself (Luke 12:19), "I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry." And the parable continues: "But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God."
