"Through great tribulation we...
"Through great tribulation we enter the kingdom. Trials are proofs of God's care." These words on page 66 of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy have a great meaning for me.
I was brought up in Christian Science and experienced many healings as a result of my mother's prayerful work. As time went by, however, I became quite lax in my daily study of the Bible Lesson, provided in the Quarterly, and when I went away to college I neglected to attend church because there was not one in the immediate vicinity.
I admitted to being a Christian Scientist, but I was not applying the truths I had learned. This state of apathy continued until about two years ago when my first baby was due.
