Effective Listening

"Infinite Love's messages of hope ... and harmony are ever being spoken to all God's children"

"O earth , earth, earth, hear the word of the Lord," cried the prophet Jeremiah (22:29). "The word of the Lord"—the actively expressed ideas of divine Mind—can be heard by any individual who listens for it. Spiritual ideas embody God's attributes, such as intelligence, purity, and love, and they appear to expectant thought in a form that uplifts human experience. The act of listening to God is not a physical process; it represents a mental attitude of receptivity. We listen for and hear the ideas that emanate from Mind as we seek a clearer understanding of God and of man and strive to utilize this understanding in our daily activities.
