AWAKENED

Awakened from the dream of painBy Love's sweet healing light,I look back now with gratitudeOn what seemed an endless night.Without each pain should I have learnedOf Mind's unfettered power?Should I have learned the Truth divineWithout each trying hour? Each shaft of light that pierced the gloomShowed me a sturdy stepping-stoneTo the threshold of the kingdomChrist has promised to his own.Now in the joyous Spirit's warmthI humbly bow and prayTo help others leave the mortal nightFor Truth's immortal day.
