It is over thirty years since I was healed through the study and application of Christian Science, and I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for all that Christian Science has done for me and mine and is doing for the whole world.

At the time I attended my first service in a Christian Science church, I had been under a doctor's care for several years. Finally he had told me that he could do no more for me and that the ailments I had were chronic. Among them were a serious stomach trouble, neuralgia, sciatica in one hip, and a bad wrist, which had to be bound up because of a longstanding injury. I was unable to sleep at night, even after taking pills, and I was extremely nervous.

My son was working for a woman who went to the Christian Science church. One day he was so worried over my condition that he told her of the problem, and she invited us both to go to a Wednesday evening testimony meeting. I consented to go if I might leave before the meeting was over, because I was afraid I could not sit for a whole hour on account of the pain in my hip. We were assured it would be all right for us to leave at any time.
