The Power of the Infinite
The resurrection of Christ Jesus teaches that the divine and infinite cannot be confined in the earthly and finite. The empty tomb was more than a place. It illustrated the spiritual freedom from bondage of evil and mortality—the essence of finiteness—that all mankind must win. Only the actual spiritualization of thought through Christliness brings this freedom. The finite always gives place to the infinite. This is resurrection.
One learns of the infinite through Christian Science, learns that God is infinite Spirit, filling all space, developing immortal life, enforcing divine law, bestowing the fearless freedom of sinless being upon His creation. And the real man, God's likeness, reflects infinity and all that it implies.
One also learns through Christian Science that these glorious truths uncover the falsity and unreality of the finite: matter, ignorance, space, time, material laws, sin, sickness, and death, as well as the ruthless lack of justice encountered in human society. It must be seen that these are finite concepts, which Jesus proved untrue.
