My gratitude for Christian Science...

My gratitude for Christian Science is unbounded. The daily unfoldment and realization of God's presence continually fill all human needs. For the past forty years Christian Science has been my only physician, and many healings have taken place in our home. Included in these healings, which have been permanent and which were brought about with the help of a practitioner, are those of pleurisy, quinsy, rheumatism, German measles, boils, and asthma.

Many other physical discomforts and many undesirable traits of character were overcome. In two cases the smoking habit fell away as the natural result of the individuals' turning to divine light for guidance and of their efforts to live in accordance with Christian Science. A lasting benefit has come to our family through our trusting the Christ, Truth, rather than falling back into material ways and means to alleviate suffering.

A more recent healing was an instantaneous one and has been permanent. I suffered from the depressing fear of nightmares. I dreaded the night and rarely slept until daybreak. These attacks of extreme fright, from which it was difficult to arouse myself, began when our children were young; and since I did not know of Christian Science at that time, I did nothing to alleviate them.
