Meeting the Need

One of the ways in which branch Churches of Christ, Scientist, are seeking to meet the spiritual needs of their neighbors is through well-located Christian Science Reading Rooms. As Mary Baker Eddy writes in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 518), "The rich in spirit help the poor in one grand brotherhood, all having the same Principle, or Father; and blessed is that man who seeth his brother's need and supplieth it, seeking his own in another's good."

Often the center of activity in a community changes due to rapid growth and expansion. And church members are recognizing more and more the importance of keeping pace with this trend by making their Reading Rooms more readily accessible to townspeople.
