HUMILITY
Meekly
it ranges the green valley,
Daylong unto night;
Then, like the lamb, humility
Is drawn toward the height.
Pure streams spring from the mountain;
And sweet the hilltop verdure
To the ascending thought that claims
The lofty slopes for pasture.
Clad in white fleece of innocence,
Climbing, sure-footed, sunward,
The humble leave the world behind
To learn more of their Lord.
Wherever shepherd Truth leads on,
They follow quickly after,
Knowing Life, God, as they are known,
And divine Love as master.
