Some time ago a lump began to...
Some time ago a lump began to form on one of my arms, and in a few days the arm and hand became so swollen that they were almost useless. During this time I endeavored to apply what I knew of Christian Science, but without apparent effect.
Although, thanks to the ministrations of Science, well over thirty years had passed since I last turned to materia medica for help, on this occasion I was aware of a constant nagging suggestion that the condition needed medical attention. Deep down there was a fear that if Christian Science did not give me quick relief, the outcome would be extremely serious. I therefore asked a Christian Science practitioner for help, which was immediately given. The practitioner told me to "look away from the body into Truth and Love, the Principle of all happiness, harmony, and immortality" (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 261).
