I had been a semi-invalid for a considerable period after the birth of my second daughter. One day a caller told me of a healing she had experienced in Christian Science; but I knew nothing of this religion, and her words awakened no interest in me. Later, a neighbor, though not a Scientist, recommended a visit to a practitioner. Again I paid little heed.
However, some time later these conversations came back to me, and I made the call on the practitioner. I had not realized anyone could express so much love and give such comfort. After this, when there seemed an urgent need, I would pay another visit and was always uplifted.
Some time later I became acutely ill, and this brought the realization that there should be no more procrastination. A decision must be made. Either I should have medical aid or depend on God. I knew the choice must be final. Then I found myself pouring out my heart to the practitioner, who assured me help would be immediately forthcoming and advised me to read the ninety-first Psalm.
