The Christian Science periodicals have been a source of constant blessings to my family and me, and I should like to relate a healing that took place quickly as I read a testimony in the Sentinel. I had been sewing, so I stuck a threaded needle into the front of my dress to be put away when I went to another room.

Our daughter came home from school, and as she greeted me affectionately, the needle was pushed into my bosom about an inch. I removed it, but I suddenly felt afraid. I reached for the current Sentinel and opened it to the testimonies, not to the beginning of them as was my custom, but to the center of the group. The first one I read told of a similar healing of a needle puncture wound. The fear left, and there was never any evidence of the incident.

In rearing our family of five children, we have had ample opportunity to test the veracity of the teachings of Christian Science. A healing of severe burns was experienced by our youngest daughter. Freedom from the symptoms of a serious illness was obtained in less than a week. Protection from so-called childhood diseases is high on our list of blessings for which to be grateful. Often we have had letters from the school telling us that one of the children had been exposed to some contagious disease, but as a result of our prayerful work each of the children has been protected on such occasions.
