I should like to express my...
I should like to express my heartfelt gratitude for Christian Science. Over thirty-five years ago I was instantly healed through this religion of a severe stomach trouble pronounced incurable by the doctors. However, the healing was the least part of the blessing, because I had been searching for three years for a religion that would satisfy me and teach me how Christ Jesus had healed. I found it in Christian Science.
The doctors had also told me that I would never be able to have children, and I have had two girls. Since my first healing, I have had no desire for any other kind of treatment, and I have been healed of tuberculosis, blood poisoning, a broken bone, and many other ills. The children were healed of so-called children's diseases, and one was healed of poliomyelitis. The latter illness was diagnosed by a doctor when my daughter was a baby, but she was never given any medication. We had to have her left shoe built up one and a half inches until she was twelve years of age. Then the limb became elongated, and she has worn regular shoes ever since.
At one time my younger daughter began to experience abdominal pain. Fear made her undecided about relying on Christian Science, and she went to a doctor for a diagnosis. He said she had appendicitis and advised an immediate operation. When I returned from work that day she was having severe pain. I told her she was old enough to choose for herself between medical treatment and Christian Science treatment, and she decided to rely entirely upon God. A practitioner was called and asked to give her prayerful treatment, In about ten days the condition had cleared up, and she experienced no further difficulty. I am extremely grateful for this healing.
