In "We Knew Mary Baker Eddy,"...
In "We Knew Mary Baker Eddy," Second Series, one of Mrs. Eddy's students recalls an incident which has given untold inspiration to me. On page 17, referring to Mrs. Eddy, she writes, "As she held my hand she looked directly into my eyes and said, 'Thou art mine, saith the Lord, and none shall pluck you from out my hand.'"
When my daughter and I were separated from time to time during her early years while I worked, she and I both leaned heavily on the above promise. It dissipated every fear I had held for her safety. We have continued to use this truth and have been inspired and protected by it.
