Joyfully and gratefully I wish...
Joyfully and gratefully I wish to testify to the divine guidance and grace which I have been privileged to experience in Christian Science.
Even as a child I longed to know which religion was the right one. I asked my mother repeatedly. She answered that she had read the Bible through seven consecutive times, and still she was not certain. She was trying, she said, above all, to understand how Jesus healed, for it seemed to her it must have been on an entirely spiritual basis.
At that time Christian Science was still unknown in the Baltic provinces where we lived. I continued to search for the truth, and every Sunday I attended the service of one of the local churches.
