"God is taking care of me"

[Of Special Interest to Children]

Veah came with her parents and her two little brothers from a neighboring town to visit Grandmother. They arrived early Sunday morning, and plans had been made for the children to go to the Christian Science Sunday School.

The subject of the Bible Lesson for that week was "God the Preserver of Man." The children in the class Veah visited could not read, but the teacher read to them this verse from the Bible (Ps. 121:7, 8): "The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: ... The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, even for evermore."

By explaining that God keeps His children safe and secure from all evil wherever they may be, she helped them to understand what the word "preserver" means. In other words, God preserves His children, whether they are at home or away. And having noticed some mosquito bites on Veah, the teacher added, "Yes, God preserves us from mosquito bites too if we trust Him."
