DEAR GOD

Helen Faith Twichell

It is a simple thing
To see that Thou art Love.
Small children can.

It should be simple too
To see reflected love
Thy perfect plan.

It must be simple, then,
That evil is a lie
Since time began.

May I be simple, clear,
Seeing and knowing love—
Thy childlike man!
