Inspired Wednesday Readings

Each of us is dearly loved of the Father. This is evident today in the good which has come to mankind through Christ and Christian Science. It is especially evident each Wednesday at Christian Science testimony meetings, in which those who have been healed rise to their feet and testify to healings of physical ills, to unhappy circumstances overcome, to lives reformed, to fear destroyed.

To many the discovery that God loves them has come at one of these meetings. As all who take part in a Wednesday testimony meeting unite in God's love the evidence of that love will multiply. The meetings will become more and more fruitful.

The readings from the Bible and correlative passages from the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, are a vital part of these meetings. When those responsible for the preparation, presentation, support, and reception of the readings fulfill their responsibility in conscious response to God's love, the effect of the readings is to destroy error and to spiritualize thought. Burdens are lifted; inhibitions are removed; those who have witnessed the healing power of Truth rise and testify; those who have come in need of healing feel the power; and the reflected love of the Father radiates mentally from that meeting, blessing the community and the world.
