My reason for becoming interested in Christian Science was not a need for physical healing. When I was eighteen, some dear friends asked me to attend their church. Since I had no church affiliation, I was glad to go with them, and I immediately found that Christian Science was the religion that suited me. I began its study and went to Sunday School regularly, where I received my foundation in this truth and then went on to church membership and a full life with God's hand ever sustaining and protecting me.

I have had some wonderful healings, physical and financial. Some time ago, however, I had to call a practitioner for help, as I was in great pain and did not seem to be overcoming it. Prayerful work was done for me, and I studied also; but I was uncomfortable. On the third day the pain left, but it returned intermittently; so treatments were continued for one week, by which time I was entirely free from any pain, and the healing has been permanent. It proved to me again that God is ever with us and that when we rely on Him harmony will prevail.

One morning last year I awakened feeling anything but normal. I was expecting guests for lunch and thought possibly I should cancel my plans. But I asked a practitioner for treatment, and after returning to my bed for half an hour, I awakened greatly refreshed and normal. I was able to entertain my guests without anyone's knowing I had not been well that morning. The truths of Christian Science had been proved again.
