In one of the Christian Science...
In one of the Christian Science periodicals there appeared an editorial entitled "Expense or Investment?" It brought to thought, with a great sense of gratitude, the investment my father made many years ago when he accepted Christian Science as the way of Life. There are now four generations of active Christian Scientists in our family, all receiving benefits from that original investment.
As a young child I became familiar with the words of Mrs. Eddy's poem "The Mother's Evening Prayer" (Poems, p. 4). The poem is set to music in the Christian Science Hymnal; and many times when discord threatened, it was sung with quick healing results. The first verse reads:
