During the Christmas holidays...

During the Christmas holidays two years ago I went into a large city to shop. After making a purchase I replaced my billfold in my purse. However, just before making another purchase, I discovered that my billfold was missing. At first I was panic-stricken. Then I silently declared that God never made a dishonest man and that nothing real can be lost, because it exists as an idea in the divine Mind.

I felt sure the billfold would be turned in to the lost-and-found department; so I proceeded there and gave them my name and address, my telephone number and that of my husband's business. When I retraced my steps, I remembered that while going from one floor to another I had felt what I thought had been an unnecessary pushing in the elevator and guessed that that was when my billfold had been taken. Upon returning home I reported this incident to our insurance company because of the money involved.

This occurred in early December; and in January I called the store to see if the billfold had been returned, but it had not. In the meantime I received the check from the insurance company. This check, I realized, was not a complete healing or a demonstration of Principle. I knew that man cannot be deprived of any good and that this truth could be manifested in my human experience.
