Man's Inherent Serenity
"True stillness ... is the inherent serenity of Mind"
When in the quiet of a crisp winter night one walks under the bright stars and listens to the stillness, the melody of silence is truly beautiful. One cannot help feeling God's nearness, His presence. One can almost hear Him say, "Be still, and know that I am God" (Ps. 46:10). In such harmonious surroundings little effort is required to express serenity, for to acknowledge control and order when there is nothing to interfere with quiet meditation is easy.
