"Awake thou that sleepest, and...
"Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light" (Eph. 5: 14). This verse of Scripture is especially dear to me, for very soon after I took up the study of Christian Science, the words came to my thought as if someone were speaking them, and thereafter they were a great help in my awakening to some understanding of God and His creation, including man, made in His image and likeness.
Seeking help for a member of my family who was suffering from a nervous condition, I first turned to this Science after we had tried everything we knew without success. Also for some time I had sought a satisfying explanation of God and the Holy Bible and a reason for my existence.
In Christian Science I found not only healing for the loved one and an understanding of God and man and the Bible, but healing for myself of a severe stomach disorder and other chronic ailments, as well as gradual release from a sense of hopelessness and depression.
