Christian Science came into our home when I was a young girl. My mother was healed by its application after she had been given up by the doctors, who said she could not live another six weeks. She not only lived for many more years but was able to help many others to find this healing truth.

Two years ago I had a proof of God's care and healing power. After I had driven for several days over high mountain passes with no difficulty and had enjoyed every minute of it, friends whom I visited expressed dismay that I had attempted such a trip because I had to do all the driving. Evidently I admitted into my thinking a false sense of accomplishment, because I woke one morning and could not use one arm and hand. With the help of a friend, I telephoned my teacher in Christian Science and asked for treatment from him. By noon I could dress myself, and in two days the arm and hand were normal.

A week after I returned home, the symptoms appeared again. Not only my arm but my speech was affected. A friend with whom I was staying called a practitioner, who started prayerful work for me immediately. When she came to the house about noon, I could speak, and the next day I drove my car and was completely free. There has been no recurrence of the trouble.
