I Became interested in Christian Science...
I Became interested in Christian Science in England when I witnessed a fellow artist's healing, in less than six weeks, of tuberculosis so advanced that several doctors had told her that her case was incurable. A short time thereafter I married an American who had been a Christian Scientist since boyhood, and I accompanied him on his return to the United States, where I soon became a member of a branch church.
Prior to this time I had had a weak chest, and every winter I spent two or more weeks in bed with bronchitis. The condition appeared in a severe form the first winter after my arrival in the United States, and my mother-in-law asked me if I wanted the help of a doctor or of a Christian Science practitioner. I chose Science and was healed, and in the forty years since then the condition has not returned.
Other healings I have experienced include those of inflammatory rheumatism, indigestion, a sprained ankle, wasp stings, and burns. I have also experienced painless childbirth.
