Mrs. Eddy tells us in Science and Health (p. 449), "A grain of Christian Science does wonders for mortals, so omnipotent is Truth, but more of Christian Science must be gained in order to continue in well doing." I found that after attending one or two public lectures on Christian Science and also a few Sunday services at a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, I was completely healed of chronic constipation and an intense fear of thunder-storms, both of which had persisted since my early childhood. Severe chest colds, which I had had regularly through the years, gradually faded from my experience.

While gaining "more of Christian Science," I have learned that because God is Mind, man, His image and likeness, reflects the divine Mind. And the disciplining of human thought so that we may reflect the divine Mind is necessary "in order to continue in well doing."

A healing I recently experienced proves the value of spiritual thinking. While descending the stairs in my office building, I slipped, and in endeavoring to remain upright I strained my leg. The pain was severe, and for a moment I could not walk.
