It is with deep humility and great gratitude that I write this testimony of a healing which was accomplished after several years of consecrated work by a Christian Science practitioner and deep study on my part.

Since I am a Christian Scientist, the trouble was not medically diagnosed; but it appeared to be a malignant growth in the rectum accompanied by pain and hemorrhaging. I was in bed most of the time and was not much good to myself or to my family. During the whole experience I studied deeply, prayed earnestly, and called the practitioner whenever the pain was severe. Many times I called him three or four times a day, as well as in the middle of the night. I shall always be grateful for his patience and unwavering conviction that Christian Science heals.

I am the only Scientist in my family, and there was much fear expressed by my husband and children. The constant pleading of my husband that I should seek medical help had to be handled with love and an unyielding determination to depend on God for healing. I also had to be freed from a sense of hurt pride because I was a Christian Scientist and had not had my healing.
