Jealousy Is Not True
[Of Special Interest to Children]
Norman and Lucy lived in a large country house in Northern Ireland. Lucy had recently got to know something of Christian Science, but she was the only Christian Scientist in the home. She loved to read the Bible and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and, so far as she understood the truths she learned from these books, she applied them to every situation that came her way.
Lucy had a white Pomeranian called Jill, and she loved her little dog dearly. Jill was always with her wherever she went.
One day Norman brought home a lovely little puppy, a wire-haired terrier. He named her Peggy. One would have thought that Jill would be kind and motherly to this little puppy, but I am sorry to say it was just the opposite. When she saw Peggy, she curled up her lip and made a little snarling noise, which in dog language seemed to say: "You haven't any business here. This is my home, not yours."
