I wish to express my deep gratitude for Christian Science and for Mrs. Eddy, who gave us the textbook, Science and Health, that we might understand and demonstrate this Science. I have been helped many times by reading the testimonies in the Christian Science periodicals and should like to share two healings which our family has experienced.

One summer, while diving, one of our four sons, a fifth-grader, struck the diving board, receiving a deep gash on his head. Upon reaching him I declared that God was his Life and that God was the only power. The swimming pool guards cleansed his head and laid a clean bandage over the wound. No antiseptics were used. The fear was expressed by the guards that stitches and treatment for shock would be necessary.

While we drove home, the other three boys were saying the Lord's Prayer, and I was declaring that there could be no unconscious mind since God is the one divine Mind, all-powerful and ever present.
