Watch, and the Thief Cannot Enter
"Grace stops the thief called error and prevents him from entering our mental home"
Occasionally we may hear someone remark that he locked the stable after the horse was stolen; he means that he waited until he had had an unhappy experience before taking measures to prevent a recurrence of it. This seems characteristic of mankind in general, who wait until after the thieves of negligence, carelessness, and material-mindedness have stolen their treasures of health, happiness, and security before they correct their thinking and acting. Through the teachings of Christian Science, however, mankind are learning that if they watch, the thief cannot enter.
