The spiritual understanding gained from a study of Christian Science has been a great help and source of strength to my husband and me in the solving of business problems. For one experience in particular I should like to express gratitude.

A few years ago our manufacturing business was in danger of having to be closed down unless we could raise considerably more capital and also advertise our products more extensively, since a greatly increased turnover was essential.

Within one year the situation was changed to one not only of solvency but of prosperity. This was done entirely through the help of Christian Science. We did not raise a penny; we raised our thinking. We did not increase the advertising of our products; we advertised instead God's goodness by expressing more love, patience, and gratitude. On page 4 of the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health, Mrs. Eddy writes, "What we most need is the prayer of fervent desire for growth in grace, expressed in patience, meekness, love, and good deeds."
