Signs of the Times
From an editorial in the Calexico Chronicle Calexieo, California
It seems to us that the answer to relaxation and happiness was given once for all about 2,000 years ago by a very wise man in the nation of Israel—and in very simple words. He recommended no miracle drugs, no yoga, no mystic practices. Instead, he advised people simply to do what they do to the glory of God.
That is, each of us, no matter what his job—be it running a huge corporation, running a machine, tending a garden, minding a household—should dedicate his work to God. If all persons are of equal importance in the eyes of their Father, then all their jobs must be of equal importance too. That is, a mother in a modest home whose job is to take care of her home and her family is doing just as important a task as is the president of any corporation, or any nation.
