"Feed my sheep"
"Love blesses, governs, sustains, and manifests the substance which feeds the sheep"
"Lovest thou me? ... Feed my sheep." These momentous words were addressed to Peter as Jesus talked with the disciples on the shore of the Galilean Sea. The crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus had taken place, and now in the period before the ascension, he was giving Peter instructions to carry on the Christian ministry. Jesus knew that soon he would no longer be with his disciples.
