Christian Science and Mental Healing

Nearly a century ago Mrs. Eddy startled medical and religious thought by healing all kinds of disease by mental or spiritual means. Through her outstanding spiritual discovery she had learned how Christ Jesus accomplished his healing works, and she had also learned that these works can be repeated today.

Mrs. Eddy was divinely led to establish a Church through which her system of healing is being successfully continued, as is evidenced by well-authenticated instances of healing that appear in the religious periodicals of this Church and in a series of weekly radio and television programs.

It is true that other systems also place emphasis upon mental factors associated with disease, and for this reason one who would investigate the subject of mental healing should understand the difference between spiritual healing in Christian Science and mere mental healing.
