The Apostle Paul tells us (Rom. 8:16, 17), "The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ." That our five children have had the blessing and privilege of religious instruction in the Christian Science Sunday School since early childhood gives me cause for great gratitude to God. As a result of this early training, they have grown up naturally receptive of good.

Mrs. Eddy writes in "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 105), "Destroy the thought of sin, sickness, death, and you destroy their existence." With the help of a Christian Science practitioner, whose wider views of Truth always brought peace, mumps, measles, smallpox, impetigo, and scarlet fever were healed during the children's school days. Burns, broken bones, and injuries sustained in the course of their juvenile activities were also healed, and the fear of poliomyelitis was overcome.

Over twenty years ago while we were driving down a busy street one of our children fell out of the car. My husband stopped the car and ran back to an intersection where the child was.
