It is six years since a testimony of mine appeared in the Sentinel, and I desire to express gratitude for the continued happiness and improved health that this religion, practiced by Christ Jesus and discovered and given to the world by Mary Baker Eddy, has brought to me.

About eighteen months ago, when I was first appointed assistant librarian in a Christian Science Reading Room, a previous physical difficulty became aggravated. It was a painful growth, and before becoming a Christian Scientist I had been obliged to have a similar lump, diagnosed as a tumor, removed by surgery. From time to time over the years I had had help from Christian Science practitioners for this second growth. Each time the swelling would diminish, but it would not disappear because my fear of it was never quite healed.

This time I got down to work in an endeavor to spiritualize my thought, and I was given much help by a practitioner. During the following weeks, although the growth seemed to be getting larger, I was able to attend to my duties in the Reading Room each day. Indeed, it was only when in the Reading Room, with my thought turned away from self, that I was free from pain.
